1980 – 1985

At the start of the 1980's, Schenck produced its first film:
“7 days in the life of Mr. X”.

The advertising department concentrated on developing and producing “Mr. X” for about 18 months.

The film followed a week in the life of architect Mr. X, a close colleague of Joe Bloggs and A.N. Other and showed how numerous Schenck products are used in everyday life.

Schenck showed “7 days in the life of Mr. X” at the Pali cinema in Darmstadt on two Saturdays in the autumn of 1985.

Around 1,000 residents of Darmstadt came to see the film, which is now viewed as a historical document and has been translated into a number of languages, including English, Chinese and Russian.
